Robert started his career as an IFA after achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Financial Economics. He has worked for the company for over 11 years, performing a variety of different functions in this time.
As well as providing financial advice to clients Robert is the Director of the company and holds several regulatory positions including Compliance Oversight and Supervisor. He enjoys dealing with technical client queries, particularly regarding taxation and pension matters.
In 2018 Robert won a national award and was named Investment Advice Specialist of the Year by the Personal Finance Society (PFS). Robert has achieved the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and the Certificates in Mortgage Advice and Equity Release, all with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
He has also completed the Certificate in Pensions Auto Enrolment via the Pensions Management Institute (PMI). He is a Fellowship member of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered Financial Planner, which was awarded by the CII. Finally he has passed Level I, Level II and Level III of the CFA Program and, as a result, he is a CFA Charterholder.
Robert is qualified to advise on Investments, Pensions, Protection, Mortgages and Lifetime Mortgages.
Martin has over 18 years experience in the financial services industry after starting his career as a trainee Financial Adviser with Britannic Assurance Plc in 1999. During his tenure with this company he achieved a pass in Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) papers 1, 2 and 3 and achieved a full FPC qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). He also achieved the Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ) with distinction via the CII in 2002, shortly after he left Brittanic.
He went on to represent Friends Provident and the Zurich Advice Network as a financial adviser in a self-employed capacity before joining our company in February 2004 as an employed financial adviser.
Martin states he is “incredibly proud to be associated with Bob Little & Co Ltd” as he believes we provide financial advice of the highest standard, including offering clients tailored financial planning solutions with a personal touch.
Martin passed (with Merit) the ifs Level 4 Diploma for financial advisers (now the London Institute of Banking & Finance or LIBF) in 2012. He passionately believes the financial services needs better qualified financial advisers and, with this in mind, he decided to continue his studies with the LIBF.
In December 2017 Martin passed the Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Advice. The LIBF recognised Martin’s achievements by awarding him with Chartered Associateship status in 2017. This designation falls under the LIBF’s category of “Expert”.
He is married to Lindsey, his wife of over 10 years. In his spare time he likes to go running and he thoroughly enjoys watching his daughter take part in her dancing classes. Martin is a Senior Financial adviser at our company and he has a particular passion for dealing with pre and post retirement matters.
He is qualified to advise on Investments, Pensions, Protection and Mortgages.
Chris has always had a passion for finance and spent his entire working career in financial services, starting with NatWest in 1990. The banking industry was starting to evolve during his time with NatWest, and he gained valuable skills which would provide a foundation for his future successes.
He later joined Britannic Assurance as a Financial Adviser which provided the platform for achieving a full Financial Planning Certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Chris joined Bob Little & Co Ltd in 2011. Since then, he has achieved further qualifications including the Diploma for Financial Advisers with the LIBF, the Mortgage Advice Qualification and the qualification for Lifetime Mortgages (Equity Release).
Chris is able to provide advice across the whole financial spectrum from investments and pensions to protection and mortgage related products.
Chris continues his passion for finance outside of work and spends considerable time studying macroeconomics, technical analysis and financial markets in general. As part of the investment team at Bob Little & Co, Chris is able to share his vast knowledge of economics and financial markets, helping both our company and our clients.
Chris believes that building relationships with clients is essential to the success of the company, and that this can be achieved by providing an exceptional, loyal and trustworthy service.
Outside of finance, Chris likes to spend time at Bannatynes keeping fit, walking across the local countryside or following the Boro.
Chris is qualified to advise on Investments, Pensions, Protection, Mortgages and Lifetime Mortgages.
Matthew has worked in Financial services for the last 14 years, having previously worked for Darlington Building Society and London & Country Mortgages. He performed various roles at Darlington Building Society including Office Manager, Mortgage Adviser and Mortgage Underwriter before joining London & Country to work as an Independent Mortgage Adviser.
He joined the team at Bob Little & Co in December 2014. Matthew has been CeMap qualified through the Institute of Financial Services since 2008.
He is qualified to advise on Mortgages and Protection.
Angela has worked in the industry for more than 20 years and has been with the firm since 2003. She holds the Financial Planning Certificate qualification and specialises in Pension Administration and Investment Administration.
Jonathan has worked for our company since 2014 when he originally joined as our apprentice. He has since achieved the CF1 (UK financial services, regulation and ethics) and FA1 (Life office administration) certificates through the Personal Finance Society and he now specialises in pension administration.
Karen joined Bob Little & Co Ltd in 2012 as our Receptionist.
Lisa has worked in the industry since August 1999. She specialises in Mortgage Administration and Investment Administration.
Nicola has worked for our company since September 1998. She specialises in Protection Administration and Investment Administration.
Sarah has worked for the firm since 2010. She carries out many roles for our firm including Accounts Administrator and Personal Assistant to the Director. She holds a BA Honours Degree in Business Management.
Steph has worked for the firm since 2011. She originally joined us as our Receptionist but she now specialises in Investment Administration.
|CFA||Described as "the highest distinction in the investment management profession", this accreditation covers topics ranging from Portfolio Management and Wealth Management to Economics and Statistics. It is equivalent to a Masters degree and is only available to individuals who hold a Bachelor's degree and who have the required amount of relevant work experience.|
|FPFS||Fellows hold the CII Fellowship, the highest qualification awarded by the CII. Fellows must hold the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (APFS) or equivalent and have a minimum of five years' industry experience.|
|Chartered Financial Planner/Chartered Associate||Holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (APFS) or equivalent and must have a minimum of five years' industry experience. The 'Chartered' title can only be conferred under the auspices of the Privy Council and is designed to indicate professional attainment and commitment.|
|APFS/Adv DipFA||Holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent. This develops specialist planning capabilities supporting the provision of a sophisticated and comprehensive approach to financial management.|
